Which do you prefer – a trip or a vacation? When Shayla thinks of her ventures to different cities and states, her mind automatically go right to the hustle and bustle of looking after two toddlers! Therefore, her idea of a vacation tends to be more like a “trip.” This is definitely not a bad thing, however it absolutely requires more energy and “fuel” during adventures with little ones!

After traveling just under two hours to the airport, three hours sitting in the airport and then four hours on an airplane, all while chasing around two little monsters, drained could be an understatement. The energy needed to fuel our day led us to Original Chop Shop – on Legacy Drive in Plano Texas! This location was only a six minute drive from our hotel, Drury Inn and Suites Frisco, but there is one other location not too much further in Texas as well as a few in Arizona.

Their motto is about scoring a daily victory! We believe an awesome victory could be finding a new city to love on, trying a new restaurant full of yummy food or likewise to @originalchopshop – finding time for a good meal! And we did just that our first day in Dallas!

Original Chop Shop is all about helping busy customers such as moms, students, business men/women to indulge in whole ingredients to fuel their days on the go. They are doing just that! While we were busy little bees in Texas, it totally hit the spot!

Dog friendly too – see the water bowls!

Katie ordered one of the grilled protein bowls – the Teriyaki Chicken while Shayla opted for the BBQ Chicken Chop! Shayla was pleasantly surprised how delicious her “chop” tasted because of all the different ingredients mixed together (house greens, chicken, cheddar, corn, green onion, tomato, corn nuts, cilantro, bbq ranch)! They had so many interesting chop salads to choose from which made for a difficult, indecisive decision, but Shayla chose the best one! Katie also loved her Teriyaki Chicken and Luca even tried some and ended up eating more than fifty percent – whoops! He is definitely a foodie in the making! The kiddos also enjoyed the Whole Wheat Cheese Crisp with chicken added in!

We had a wonderful experience at @originalchopshop and will definitely be back when we are in town or even visiting Arizona! Thanks so much to the friendly staff for having us and making our time there memorable and fueled up.

Xoxo
