Happy Foodie Friday y’all.
This past Tuesday we had the pleasure of partaking in a hosted visit to central Jersey’s finest authentic Greek & Mediterranean restaurant – Anemo’s Greek Cuisine. If you were ever planning on visiting Greece, but haven’t made it there yet, just walk through the doors of Anemos and you’ll feel right at home – it’s the perfect intimate Grecian setting.
I hope you’re in the mood for food if you ever visit because from the moment we sat down, we were served endless amounts of amazing Greek plates. We were greeted with some fresh Pita bread and Tzatziki. Of course we had a second – okay, maybe a third bowl of bread – it was THAT good y’all. Our waiter made our greek experience one we will remember! She was very knowledgeable on every dish and we even had a fun time trying to pronounce all of the foods!
We started with two appetizers for the table – Calamari Sto Tigani and the an Artichoke dish.
Our main dishes followed shortly after – Tuesday’s special: Flounder stuffed with Crab Cakes, Beef & Lamb Gyro with Pilaf, Chicken Kebob and of course a little something for the kiddos – Greek Pizza and an order of Mac & Cheese.
For dessert, we were served a beautiful platter with a variety of delicious treats – the Manager’s special! We also tried some gelato – Chocolate Parfait, Siko and Frappe.
The men opted for some coffee to finish out the night – a Cappuccino and one Greek Coffee.
